Gloria Molina Grand Park will celebrate the opening day of the two week-long celebration of Día de los Muertos.
Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Downtown Día de los Muertos honors people, places, and ideas that merit reverence and commemoration. It is a community-oriented space inviting everyone to contribute to a community altar and to stroll through the park viewing 20 altars made by professional artists and local organizations. Long-time lecturer and curator Consuelo Flores returns along with a thought provoking Día de los Muertos community altar reflective of L.A. and inspired by the park’s yearlong theme “Reimagine.”
