DESCRIPTION:Tours at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm\n\nIn 1967\, poet Richard Brautig
 an imagined a coming future\, “where mammals and computers / live togeth
 er in mutually / programming harmony.” The resulting proliferation of th
 ese technologies has now radically altered every area of life. Borrowing i
 ts title from Brautigan’s poem\, All Watched Over by Machines of Loving 
 Grace addresses one of the most pressing issues of our time—the impact o
 f artificial intelligence—by proposing alternative directions for its fu
 ture and how it changes the relationship between the human and non-human.\
 n\nPresenting a broad range of art forms\, including visual art and perfor
 mance\, this exploration offers alternatives rooted in indigenous belief s
 ystems\, and feminist\, queer\, and decolonial imaginaries. Neither the ut
 opia imagined by Brautigan nor the dystopia feared today\, the alternative
  approaches proposed by artists can inform the next generation of AI\, gro
 unded in diverse conceptions of technology\, cognition\, and life.\n\nPart
 icipating artists include Nora Al-Badri\, Minne Atairu\, Stephanie Dinkins
 \, Mashinka Firunts Hakopian with Dahlia Elsayed and Andrew Demirjian\, In
 terspecifics\, Kite\, Charmaine Poh\, Sarah Rosalena\, and Kira Xonorika.\
 n\nAdmission is free.\n\nTwo curator-led tours of the exhibition with Depu
 ty Director and Chief Curator of Visual Arts Daniela Lieja Quintanar and A
 ssistant Curator Talia Heiman will begin at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
