DESCRIPTION:Luceros y Penumbras has been officially recognized by Guinness 
 World Records as the largest pop-up book ever created! When opened\, the b
 ook measures approximately 31 feet by 20 feet\, with pop-ups rising more t
 han 11 feet tall. Weighing over 1\,800 pounds\, it is made entirely from t
 he same materials used to produce traditional books\, including paper\, ad
 hesive\, and fabric.\n\nWith original art created by Los Angeles artist an
 d printmaker Daniel González\, paper engineering by Matthew Reinhart\, an
 d full scale engineering and fabrication by Goodnight &amp\; Co.\, this am
 bitious feat of scale and storytelling is inspired by the Library’s endu
 ring “light of learning.” See it now in the Central Library’s histor
 ic Rotunda!
